This discreet diptych of baby robins being fed is an original en caustic painting by artist Debra Gaines.  Complementary hues of soft green and pale yellow highlight these tender, private moments.

Sea smoke creates a mysterious fog over the open ocean of Long Point Beach on Martha's Vineyard as the waves roll in.   A foggy mist blows off of the top of the cresting waves while the gentle puffy clouds and skies are illuminated by the setting sun.

Painted on board and framed with a delicate beaded gold frame and soft white linen liner, "Dreamy Ocean Scape" measures approximately 9.25" x 8.25".

"Autumn Leaves" is a mixed media encaustic painting which embodies textured layers of pure beeswax painted with oil in complementary earth and autumn tones. Illuminated in the center are three beautiful Japanese Maple leaves in their full glory.

"The Lone Tree" is an encaustic painting which displays the beautiful simplicity of a lone tree standing by itself in a field of straw colored grasses. The heavy fog surrounding the tree emphasizes the striations of color in the thick grasses and the isolation of the tree.

This image is painted on a thick wooden board and is 12" x 8". The image you receive will not have this copy-write notice on it Though it will be hand titled and signed on the back.

"Lighter Days"  is an encaustic painting which is reminiscent of a previous era of days gone by. A more seemingly simplistic time when life seemed less chaotic, when less was more. This piece reminds me of a sparkling kitchen where the mom is home all day keeping the house nice and clean and has fresh baked cookies ready for her kids upon their arrival home from school. "Lighter days" has a bright, light nostalgic feel to me.
